[COMPANY/WEBSITE NAME]
A College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultant (CICC) Licensee in Canada refers to an individual or organization that has acquired authorization from the designated regulatory authority to deliver immigration and citizenship consulting services to clients. The issuance of this license is mandatory in Canada, aiming to ascertain that individuals providing immigration and citizenship advice possess the requisite expertise, adhere to ethical standards, and demonstrate qualifications to effectively assist individuals with their immigration and citizenship applications.

Each Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is obligated to adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, upholding competence, and ethical capabilities in accordance with established standards. This ensures their proficiency in assisting clients while maintaining a commitment to ethical principles.

What do we as your Licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) do for you our clients:

  • In accordance with the stipulation outlined in clause 4(1) of the Professional Code of Conduct, licensed consultants are mandated to conduct themselves with utmost honesty and integrity throughout all professional interactions. This entails furnishing clients with precise and truthful information. Your licensed consultant shall furnish you with a service agreement or contract delineating the following:
  • Specification of the services subject to charges.
  • Clarity regarding the required payment amount and the necessity of an upfront payment.
  • Disclosure of whether a deposit is obligatory and the conditions under which any part of the fee is refundable.
  • Enumeration of expenses related to supplementary services or professionals, such as legal practitioners or translators.
  • In instances where any segment of the agreement is unclear, it is prudent to seek written elucidation.
  • A comprehensive understanding of each remunerated service is imperative. Concealed fees or unforeseen charges post-service agreement execution are to be precluded.
  • Consultants affirm their competence in accordance with the provisions of clause 19 of the Professional Code of Conduct, demonstrating requisite knowledge, skills, and expertise to deliver competent counsel and services to clients.
The immigration consultant is poised to introduce innovative strategies in presenting your application. Furthermore, they should possess the capability to elucidate the potential impact of past instances of denials, where applicable, on the prospect of attaining a favorable outcome.
  • Consultants are obligated to uphold the confidentiality of client information, demonstrating due regard for their privacy, and refraining from divulging sensitive details without proper authorization. In the management of a client’s case, beyond the immigration consultant, various individuals may play roles. Consequently, it is essential to be cognizant of the primary point of contact and any other individuals participating in the case. This includes team members, representatives, and other immigration consultants or attorneys. Hence, consultants elucidate the roles and responsibilities of each involved party to their clients.
  • Licensed consultants act in accordance with clause 31(1) of the Professional Code of Conduct (CPC), ensuring fair and reasonable fee charging practices without engaging in misrepresentation or fraudulent activities. Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) possess autonomy in establishing their fees, as the College does not govern the specific amounts charged for their services. Consequently, consultants maintain transparency in disclosing client fees and charges, furnishing clear and comprehensive information to clients concerning the expenses related to the rendered services.
  • As consultants, we abstain from situations where our personal interests may conflict with the optimal interests of our clients. In accordance with clause 2 of the Professional Code of Conduct (CPC), we are obligated to act consistently, in the best interests of our clients. In the event of the termination of your engagement with an immigration consultant, it is incumbent upon them to promptly return your original documents. Additionally, they are required to provide all necessary information to facilitate the seamless continuation of your application.
Should you decide to engage the services of an alternative immigration consultant, the completion of another IMM 5476 Use of a Representative Form becomes necessary. Subsequently, your new representative is authorized to request both your documents and pertinent information to effectively access and manage your immigration application.
  • Licensed consultants’ endeavor to deliver services of exceptional quality to their clients, upholding standards of professionalism and competence in all engagements. Simultaneously, they ensure strict adherence to all pertinent laws and regulations governing their profession and the provision of immigration and citizenship advice.
